Western Decay

Our society's technological advancements and physical comforts are not just fruits of modern convenience.  Rather, they are rooted in a value system that empowers the higher aspects of humanity.  

The foundation of a functional society lies in controlling basic desires. Self-discipline allows individuals to transcend their egos, recognizing and respecting the rights of others. Such mutual respect paves the way for society to foster and elevate the higher human qualities of cooperation, creativity, and ingenuity.

However, when basic moral clarity is lost, humanity regresses to primal, ego-driven behaviors, prioritizing self-gratification and power, leading to a 'dog eat dog' mentality. When this occurs, the very fabric of society, including its privileges and comforts, begins to unravel. 

This truth echoes through history, encapsulated in the words God spoke to Abraham: "אֲבָרֲכָה מְבָרֲכֶיךָ, וּמְקַלֶּלְךָ אָאֹר" 

("Those who bless you will be blessed, and those who curse you will be cursed" - Genesis 12:3)

In the vernacular, that means that those who embrace the Torah values Abraham embodied will flourish, and those who diminish those values will themselves be diminished. 

Our Western civilization, notably the US, has such values integrated into its core, with the Declaration of Independence and amendments to the U.S. Constitution. These provisions all set out to protect and empower humanity's inherent nobility. 

All men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. They have freedoms of speech, religion, and press, due process, and equal protection under the law.

We are seeing those values being actively negated, and we are also seeing the ensuing chaos.

As the enemies of civilization turn up the gas to destroy society, we respond equally by actively embracing those values that build society.
